What you need to know about swim meets.

Arrive at the pool at least 15 minutes before the scheduled warm-up time begins. This time is always listed on the swim meet information form. Upon arrival, find a place to put your belongings. The team usually sits in one place together, so look for some familiar faces and your swimmer's coach.

Find the check-in place (Clerk of Course) and your swimmer will need to check in personally. Once checked in you may want to write each event number on your swimmers hand. This helps him or her remember what events he or she is swimming in.

Once a swimmer has a lane assignments he or she should report to their coach and give them that information. The coach will give your swimmer instructions for the specific race. After the race, report immediately to your coach to discuss the swim.
